Dr. James McHenry, D.D.S., an extensively experienced and highly skilled dentist, is regarded by many as a leader in the field of cosmetic dentistry. Known for his outstanding clinical skills, combined with a professional chair-side manner and an artistic vision, Dr. McHenry makes his patients his top priority.

Dr. McHenry's formal education and training are second to none. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan one year early, allowing him to enroll at the University of Detroit’s Dental School--where he was younger than most of his fellow students. He graduated from the university’s dental school in 1980 and immediately began working. Dr. McHenry worked for several years before he began his own private practice. Enticed by its small-town feel and friendly community, Dr. McHenry--born and raised in a pleasant suburb just west of Detroit--chose Plymouth, Michigan as the home for his new practice, Dental Arts.

Dedicated to keeping his skills current, Dr. McHenry has completed extensive continuing education coursework since his dental school graduation. These courses include intensive, hands-on courses in cosmetic dentistry with Joe Gallegos, who is well-known for his instruction at the Las Vegas Institute, and advanced courses in dental implants at the renowned Misch Implant Institute. In addition, he is a graduate of the Nash Cosmetic Institute and has earned a number of certifications for his mastery of F.O.R.C.E. (Faculty for Orthodontic Research and Continuing Education) braces.

Dr. McHenry is active in a number of professional dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Michigan Dental Association. In addition, he is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Society of Osseointegration.

Dr. Samuel Fandino, D.D.S.
Dr. Fandino graduated from the University of Detroit/Mercy School of Dentistry in 1994 at the age of 23, the youngest in his class. He continues to keep up-to-date on the latest in dental technology especially in the areas of root canal therapy, cosmetic dentistry and gum surgery. He has taken continuing education courses from the most respected leaders in cosmetic dentistry including Dr. Karl Leinfelder, Dr. David Hornbrook, Dr. Joseph Gallegos (former instructor at the Las Vegas Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry).

From the very beginning, Dr. Fandino has always had a desire to help people improve their lives. His father was a physician and his mother was a registered nurse who together ran successful family practices in both Michigan and, later, California. From this background, Dr. Fandino carries on his parents' beliefs that patients come to see doctors not so much to treat an ailment, but in a grander scheme, to improve their way of life. This caring approach is what Dr. Fandino offers, providing his patients with the most beautiful smiles that will give years of satisfaction and comfort.
